Its interior comprises three levels, with the top floor believed to have been reserved for the duke during his visits to Commessaggio.  Notably, the attic features slots through which objects could be thrown or boiling oil poured onto potential intruders. Recently, the Gonzaga Tower has been revitalized and an astronomical observatory, with telescopes installed in the attic and an innovative multimedia system boosted its role.
